As a supervisor, my priority is to collaborate with you to guarantee that you deliver the best support to those you serve. You will receive assistance in managing your work, your professional development, and crucially, your self-care. I currently provide supervision in two areas of work: Counselling and Pastoral work.

My desire as a supervisor is to work with you to see your work thrive and to help you to realise that sense which 'can do' which you are capable of. Working together will enable us to draw out your strengths and your personality rather than becoming an unhealthy version of yourself based upon your peers. You have embraced your vocation because you have the giftedness to affect the lives around you. Walking with you to enjoy this opportunity will therefore be something I look forward to.

There is something meaningful and fulfilling in seeing people move forward in their lives. The truth however is that helping others sometimes comes at a personal cost. For those that work in the helping professions, supervision is often offered as a means of support, care and further development. The truth remains unfortunately that there are a number of people engaged in helping others that are suffering from post-pandemic burnout. Whilst you may be considering therapy, you may also wish to consider the level of support you are receiving on an ongoing basis as you engage with those you are working with.

Those that I supervise receive personal care and attention to work to ensure those that are served are well cared for. You matter, so it is of high importance that you work with someone who is skilled, insightful, but also personable. There is nothing worse than working with someone who does their work just to get paid. When you and I engage in supervision, we will work together to ensure that you can do your work with the greatest potential possible.

This work is carried out using the “Seven-eyed model” developed by Hawkins and Shohet. This provides a helpful framework to process your work from, referencing a broad the breadth of which in turn will ensure that you have a rich and broad understanding about your work.
