Mentoring has been a passion for a number of years; I have engaged in this in a number of contexts. Over thirty years ago I began to engage mentoring young people. Over twenty years ago I began teaching within a secondary school, offering a great opportunity to not only teach but also develop a Peer Mentoring system that had significant impact within the school community. Ten years after that, I began my training as a counsellor, and have worked as a counsellor with both young people and adults for around thirteen years.

Due to my own experiences of being born into a mixed-race home and having also travelled, I have a curious interest in working with people of differing cultures. Indeed, I have the privilege of working therapeutically with individuals globally which has afforded me the honour of working through a vast array of issues with those I am privileged to work with.

My counselling work has been rich and varied. Some of the life areas that I have been privileged to support people through have included relational difficulties, domestic violence, exploitation, self-harm, health issues, spiritual abuse and attachment difficulties. I have engaged in over 4600 hours of therapeutic work with a diverse range of ages, cultures and experiences.

The professional memberships that I currently hold are with the Association of Christians in Counselling (UK), The American Association of Christian Counsellors, and The National Counselling and Psychotherapeutic Society (UK).
